"Mess of Me" added to MTV and VH1 websites

Happy Birthday Oh! Gravity.! Turns 3 years old today. WOW!

For up to date (most of the time) news and original opinions before they hit the update, follow us on Twitter!

Hey friends. Hope you had a Christmas day yesterday! Here are just some brief little news pieces that might catch you attention or not. Things are slow as the year ends, but 2010 promises to be a great one. I'm calling it "The Year of the 'Foot." Lots of exciting announcements are coming up, so please stick around!

Also, be sure to watch out for our in-depth 2009 retrospective. It was a huge year for the band, and on December 31st, we'll recap every major event!

Well, MTV and Vh1 have finally added the "Mess of Me" music video to their respective websites. What this means towards future airplay on those channels is up in the air; the last few music videos (Awakening, This Is Home) haven't gotten anything there, so we're not holding our breath here, but still cool to note:

Also, if you haven't known already, "Mess of Me" is streaming at AOL and Yahoo Music

Oh, and I just learned the other day that Billboard counts AOL and Yahoo video streams towards Hot 100 consideration. Basically, the more times you stream a video, the more it counts towards chart placement. Hmm..... we can totally do that, can't we? ;)

A blogger calls "Needle and Haystack Life" his top song of 2009. I think he hits the description spot-on.

1. “Needle and Haystack Life” – Switchfoot
Atmospheric in the vein of U2-meets-”Dare You to Move,” Switchfoot kick off their latest album, Hello Hurricane, with the impressive “Needle and Haystack Life.”  The song captures the essence of what Switchfoot is all about: soaring melodies and existential musings tinged with hope.  “Needle and Haystack Life” begins where Switchfoot left off with their previous albums, setting the tone for both their new album and their career going forward.

"Mess of Me" is now at No. 22 on the Alternative charts, and still building. Request request request!
