Switchfoot is NOT Cheap Trick

For up to date (most of the time) news and original opinions before they hit the update, follow us on Twitter!

Ok, so there is some confusion in the press about an Audi Superbowl Campaign commercial. This article erroneously reports that Switchfoot will be playing a cover on their Green Police commercial, to be aired during the Super Bowl this Sunday.

The company is proving they care about eco-friendliness beyond the auto industry, as well. During Super Bowl Sunday, Audi is sponsoring a series of ads revolving around the humorous eco-task force, the Green Police (complete with a Switchfoot cover of Dream Police lyrically reworked as Green Police).

Then this source reports that it's simply Cheap Trick recasting their song "Dream Police" to "Green Police."

As Audi wants you to want its new A3 TDI, the automaker recruited rock band Cheap Trick to craft the soundtrack for its new Super Bowl ad blitz.

^So who's right?? Well, looking at/listening to the promos on the Green Police youtube page, it's quite clear that it is not Switchfoot singing.

Well... so much for that. Here's a video if you're interested:

Here's another great interview video with Switchfoot (not Cheap Trick), where the band discusses Hello Hurricane, the music, audience & their desired legacy

Switchfoot has some more shows added! Check out Facebook for more info!

Hey, how do you convert your Windows Media Player library into Lala? I just signed up...I'll use like I usually do, but I'm planning on queing Mess of Me and playing it on mute. Haha. I have my own laptop from my high school and I'll leave it turned on and left on my charger all night long playing it if I can figure it out. The album version of Mess of Me, right? I got the Collector's Edition.

@Dan, I'm not entirely sure how to put a Windows player onto lala. if you could, try downloading iTunes. That's a for sure way of getting your library up on lala. :)

Once you upload "Mess of Me," it'll automatically be considered [Deluxe] no matter what kind of album you have. just how lala works, so make sure to be queueing the right one.
