Rock Sound TV in the UK reports that several bands, including Switchfoot, have been added to the lineup for this year's Download Festival.

The event kicks on June 11 and runs through until the 13th.

Rolo Tomassi, Napalm Death (replacing The Used), The Plight, Your Demise, Switchfoot, 3 Inches Of Blood, Sonic Syndicate, The Virgin Marys, Kadawatha, TAB and Urban Voodoo Machine are the latest batch of bands joining the bill.

For more info, check out the event's website.

Moving back to the U.S., "The Sound" is starting to gain momentum at alternative rock radio. It got added to four more stations this week, according to BDSradio:

Be sure to head over to the request page to find request lines and links; let's keep the ball rolling, friends!

The good news doesn't stop there. "The Sound" is experiencing a huge run at Christian Rock radio (as is expected). In just it's third week on that chart, the song has cracked into the Top 10. Proof:

^Seeing as how "Mess of Me" dominated Christian Rock (spending 7 straight weeks at the No. 1 slot), "The Sound" might be due for just as successful a run there.

And as usual, in addition to the requests, keep the poll voting up!

- 91x Christy Taylor's REALLY BIG Countdown (NO. 3 last night!)
- Christian Rock 20
- RadioU
