New FOTF Information

Hey folks. Just checking in from Switchfoot HQ, and here are some details about the new Friends of the Foot program that people are a little confused about.

- Meet and greets WILL still be available for current FOTF members until the end of their membership
- There will be VIP tickets for tour pre-sale during tour sales that will have Meet and Greet opportunities and early entry.

Switchfoot performs "Dark Horses" on CONAN

HEY!

Hey folks. Just thought I'd stop by and give you all an update on how the "Vice Verses" campaign is going.

We're off to a wondrous start. The record debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200, the first time a Switchfoot record has done that since "Nothing Is Sound" did it in 2005, debuting at No. 3. "Vice Verses" sold 50,000+ units the first week, the most since "Oh! Gravity." shifted 60,000+ in its first week. This is big, folks! Coming off a Grammy win with "Hello Hurricane," the Switchfoot guys are flying high and doing really, really well.

"Dark Horses" is also on pace for great things as well. It's currently No. 14 on Mediabase Alternative, and gaining momentum each day. Expect it to crack the Top 10 in a couple weeks time, with a very distinct possibility of knocking on the door of the Top 5 come mid-November. Be sure to keep requesting it at your local hard rock and alternative stations!

Switchfoot will be playing on Conan on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Be sure to tune in! This is an exciting time for the band!

"Dark Horses" Billboard Chart News (Week of August 27, 2011)

NOTE: The "Dark Horses" music video is being shot as we speak.

"Dark Horses" is beginning to make significant inroads on the Billboard Charts.

- This week, it jumps up three spots to reach No. 28 on Alternative Songs/Modern Rock.



- It also hits the Rock Songs chart at No. 50 this week.

- But most significantly, it's No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 Bubbling Under songs. What this means is, it is just outside of the Billboard Hot 100 charts, the holy grail of singles charts, which combines radio airplay across the entire nation, sales data from iTunes/Amazon/etc., and streaming activity from online music sources.

If we can push "Dark Horses" into the Hot 100, it will be the first time that a Switchfoot song made that chart since "Stars" back in 2005. This is HUGE, folks.

So for the rest of this week and next, let's make a push on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+! Post a link to iTunes, Amazon, or wherever else and tell your friends to go get the brand new Switchfoot single. Links below:

The new announcement is here! We're holding a contest and Switchfoot will be giving away copies of "Vice Verses" to fans a week early! These cd's will then be used for those lucky winners to host listening parties for the record and to build up buzz before release week!

Both of Switchfoot's lead singles have hit their respective Billboard chats. "Dark Horses" debuts on Alternative Songs at No. 32, while "Restless" is No. 44 on Christian Songs.
