Animal Shelters and Jonas Brothers dig Switchfoot!

The Troy Messenger posted a news story about the Up in Arms Tour. I had no idea the tour was helping animal shelters and stuff too!

As part of their Up in Arms tour, which benefits a different local charity at each stop it makes, the platinum-selling band Switchfoot was brought to the university to benefit the Pike County Animal Shelter project.

For every ticket sold, $1 was donated to the charity.

Student Government Association President Andrea Roberts said 1110 tickets were sold the concert, 427 from on-campus sales.

"It's a great turnout considering we don't have a large staff to promote it," Roberts said. "The best part is the money for the shelter, which is why we're doing it."

Yes!

Love em or hate em, gotta give it to the Jonas Brothers for their musical taste. Here's a tiny little blurb I found about Joe Jonas.

Favorite Song: “Only Hope” by Switchfoot

Not bad taste for a Jonas Brother.

Today is the kick-off show (non-tour related) for the Music Builds Tour at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN.
